OUR STORY
I'm Jesus Velasco, a second-generation framing professional and the proud owner of Dino Framing Carolina. Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, I’ve been deeply connected to the framing and construction world for as long as I can remember. My father began framing in 1993, and by the time I was 8, I was spending weekends by his side on job sites, learning the trade from the ground up. By age 15, I was his apprentice, working most weekends and school breaks, and gradually gaining a deep understanding of both the technical skills in framing and the essentials of running a business.
After graduating high school, I was ready to take the reins and started my own framing company at just 19, collaborating closely with my father to deliver large-scale projects across Charlotte and neighboring areas. Together, our businesses covered custom homes, remodels, additions, and renovations from Concord to Belmont, quickly gaining a strong foothold in the local market.
In 2020, we expanded into property development, buying land to build spec homes and investing in property flips. Our commitment to quality and service turned our companies into multi-million-dollar operations by 2021. When my father retired in 2022 after 30 years in the industry, I took the lead, committed to upholding our standards while embracing innovation. Today, Dino Framing Carolina has over 40 employees, and we are dedicated to not only delivering top-notch framing services but also empowering the next generation of builders.
As we continue to move the local economy forward, I’m passionate about inspiring others to aim high and achieve their goals, setting a standard of excellence that reflects in every project we take on.
